Class Notes by Decade

In the beginning…late 60’s

, who started Kindergarten in 1967, is a director at the Cheim & Read Gallery in New York City.

1970’s

1970
David S. Llewellyn lives in Louisville.

1971
Vance Smith lives in Louisville with his wife, Cindy, and three boys, Grant, Kyle and Flynn.

1972
Joe L. Farleigh owns a residential real estate firm in Louisville, Exit Elite Realty, with his wife, Peggy Ann. They have one child, Henry, and enjoy time in Naples, Florida, where they have investment property.

1973
David Y. Todd works as an associate communications director at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. He and his wife, Shellie, have one son. They all look forward to getting back to St. Francis for a reunion eventually.

1976
Dan Weiss is living in Westport, CT with his wife and three children. He owns a specialty furniture store, Lillian August.
Elise Whitman resides in Louisville and has two daughters, Rebecca and Elizabeth who are in the seventh grade.   

1977
Mark Dorsey lives in Jacksonville, Florida.
Judah Thornewill is in Louisville and his brother, Luke Thornewill resides in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

1978
Martha Edwards is living in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Martha works part-time as a pediatrician and also volunteers weekly at a pediatric clinic. Martha has three children with whom she has a lot of fun! Martha “still feels that St. Francis made learning more enjoyable than anywhere else.”
Kevin S. Lavin lives in Goshen, Kentucky with his wife, Amy Spears, and their three children.  Kevin has owned Lavin Insurance Services since ’97 providing equine insurance.
Thomas McShane attended 2nd through 6th grades at St. Francis. He is now a harp maker who has seven children and lives in Goshen, Kentucky.
Susan Booker Schumacher graduated from KCD in ’82, UVa in ’86, and IU School of Law in ’89. She lives in Louisville where she is a lawyer working with her husband, Robert, in their firm, Schumacher & Booker PSC.
Martha Ellis McMahon lives in Studio City, California.

1979
Carol Wyatt is living in Glendale, California with her partner, Steve Carey and five children.
Jeffrey Goldberg is living right down the road in Prospect, Kentucky. He is a gynecological oncologist in Louisville. His daughter, Sophia, is a Kindergartener at St. Francis.
Chad Gleason is the Membership and Marketing Director of The Saugatuck Rowing Club in Westport, Connecticut.
Caroline White is living in New York and works as Senior Editor at Penguin Group (USA) Inc., publishing books in the Penguin Classics series as well as new books.

1980’s

1981
Miriam Meha Harthill is living in Dana Point, California.
Kathleen Hewitt Dixon lives in Suwanee, Georgia with her husband, David. They have two children, Rachel and Ryan.
Steven Herman lives in Marietta, Georgia.
Sagal Lonial, a hematologist oncologist, is an assistant professor at Emory University Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.
Anne B. Peabody is an artist working in New York. She is married to attorney, Anthony E. Hoyle, also a native of Louisville.

1982
Juanita Edmondson graduated from the Sullivan University with a degree in Culinary Arts. She currently works as a personal chef and hopes to one day teach cooking classes to children.
Molly Bingham lives in Washington, D.C.
Kathy Carnighan Kuhn and husband, Bob, married in 2002. They live in northern Virginia with their daughter, Poppy. Bob is an ER physician and Kathy is a pediatric nurse practitioner at the NIH working in oncology.

1983
Julia Duncan Clements lives in Louisville with her husband, five year old son, Van, and two golden retreivers. She is working as a certified Personal Trainer.
Jeffrey Goulder lives in Louisville with his wife, Shannon McLaughlin. Their first child, Madeline Mary Goulder, was born in 2003 and their second little girl was born in December 2007!
Sara Musselman is a photographer living in San Francisco, California. She has her own photography business in the Bay Area.
Lowell Stokes and wife, Dr. LeAnn Simmons Stokes, live in Nashville, Tennessee. Lowell is an attorney, VP and Assistant General Counsel of WebMD Corp. in Nashville. LeAnn is a radiologist who works at Vanderbilt Hospital.

1984
Nancy Skinner-Oclander McClelland graduated from the University of Michigan in 1994 and married Mark McClelland in 2001. Nancy has owned and operated her own Accounting Consulting Firm since 2001 and is loving it! Currently, Nancy is working towards a Masters in Accounting and Financial Management. Nancy “firmly believes that [her] success in college and beyond was due to the foundation laid at St. Francis”.
Glen White lives in Baltimore, MD.

1985
Nikki Trabue is living in Louisville with her husband Gary Bockhorst. They have two young boys, Grant and Clay. Nikki tells us that she “has the best memories of St. Francis!”
Jay Falls lives in Prospect, Kentucky.
Daniel Maron is a computer engineer for Computer Sciences Corporation. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, just outside New York City.
Dace Farrer Maki lives in Crestwood with her husband, Ben, and three children Arabella, a St. Francis second grader, Hawkins, a 3 year old who also attends St. Francis Preschool, and their newest addition to the family, Izzie who was born in February!

1986                                                                                                                Keri Rosenbloom is living in Chicago with her husband, Jonathan Toback. She is currently working as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte and Touche.                                                                                      

1987
Melanie Maron lives in Washington, D.C. where she works as the Executive Director of the D.C. branch of the American Jewish Committee.

1988
Alix Joseph currently lives in Denver, CO and is working as an attorney at Burns, Figa and Will, P.C.
Andrew Shapira works in investment banking for Bank of America securities in New York City. He and his wife, Kristin, have twin daughters, Molly Eliza and Josephine Belle, born in 2004.
Robin Waldman attended Ballard High School and Savannah College of Art and Design. She now lives in Seattle, Washington.

1989
Malissa "Missy" Taylor attended Princeton University where she earned her B.A. and New York University where she earned her M.A. Missy is currently finishing a two year research project through the University of California-Berkeley in Instanbul, Ankara and Damascus.

1990’s

1990
Margaret Tuggle Stone attended St. Francis High School and graduated from Ballard High School. She graduated from Georgetown College in ’98. Maggie lives in Westchester, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, with her husband, Brad Stone. Brad is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Loyola Marymount University.
Benjamin West graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned a B.S. in computer engineering, a B.A. in Germanic languages, and a M.S. in computer engineering. He lives in St. Louis and works for DSA, Inc.

1991
Lisa Wallingford Tobias was married to Bryan Tobias, a pilot with the San Antonio, Texas Police Department in October 2006. Lisa is an eighth grade Science teacher at St. Mary’s Hall School in San Antonio.

1992
Molly Cummins is living in Washington, D.C. and working as an attorney with Powers, Pyles, Sutter & Verville. She married Richard Scott III in June of 2007.
Brittany Strobel is living in Louisville and works at the Kentucky Foundation for Women.

is living in LaGrange with his wife, Shari. T.K. graduated from Furman University with a degree in Computer Science. He is the Owner and President of Motophoto.

is living in Sun Valley, ID with her husband, Rick. She is working as and Interior Designer at Charles Stuhlberg Interiors.

received a M.S. in Political Communication from Boston University and a B.A. in Political Science from Middlebury College. She is currently working at Greater Louisville, Inc. in Public Affairs and Communications.

1994
Mark Wallingford is living in Louisville with his wife, Beth. They are the proud parents of Owen Kennedy born July 25, 2006.
Gammon Wood is currently in Louisville with his wife Rachel. They are the proud parents of Jackson Wood, born September 15, 2005.
Bradley Weisberg graduated from Indiana University and is living in Chicago, Illinois working as a realtor.

1995
Benjamin West graduated in 2003 with a Masters in Science in Computer Engineering from Washington College in St. Louis. Benjamin enjoys working at Ageia Technologies, a video game company. He is also very involved in the arts community and volunteers throughout the St. Louis area.

1996
Nan Cummins is currently attending the University of Denver. Nan is in the doctorate program in Psychology.
Charlie Farnsley graduated in May 2004 from Centre College with a BA in economics. He ran track all four years and made all-conference his sophomore through senior years. He now lives in Louisville and works for an investments and insurance firm, FSAB, Inc.
Danial Madryga is attending the University of Cincinnati where he is working towards earning a Masters in Architecture.

1998
Brian Herbert is in the Peace Corps near Nairobi, Kenya.
Andrew Wood attended Trinity High School and then continued on to Transylvania University where he graduated with honors with a degree in Anthropology. He plans to continue his schooling at the University of Louisville.
Alex Brayton graduated from Vanderbilt University and is currently living in Nashville, Tennessee.
Matt Koester graduated from Indiana University and is living in Chicago, Illinois.
Danielle Weisberg graduated from Indiana University and is living in Chicago, Illinois.

1999
Tracy Madryga is working as a 3rd/4th grade teacher for JCPS at Stonestreet Elementary.
Geoffrey Sage graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington in May 2007.
Robby Eberenz graduated with a major in Business from Clemson University. He recently spent a semester abroad in Paris, France.
Elliott Reid graduated with a major in Finance from Southern Methodist University in May 2007. He is currently living in Dallas, Texas.
Taylor Brown graduated from Rhodes College in May 2007 and will be attending University of Louisville Medical School in the fall.
Lilly Radford is living in Santa Monica, California.

2000’s

2000                                                                                                               Rob Cummins graduated from KCD in 2005 and attended Vanderbilt and Macalester College.
Austin Llewellyn is living is Norton, MA.

2001
Elizabeth Leet is a rising senior at Wellesley College.
Jared Sage is a rising senior at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.

2002
James Wolff is a rising junior at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. He is a member of the cross country team.

2005
Palmer Simpson is a rising senior at Trinity High School. He stays busy running cross country and playing lacrosse. Palmer was also recently promoted to the Honors Program and has made honor roll for four consecutive quarters.

2006
Brenna Murphy is a rising junior at Ballard High School. She is currently on the  field hockey team, playing defense.
Jackie Roxworthy is a junior at Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville.
