Parent Association

The mission of the Parent Association at St. Francis School is to be the collective parental voice of the school, to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all parents, and to work collectively with the Board of Trustees and school administration in meeting the immediate needs of the school. The PA acts as the school’s biggest cheerleader and an ambassador to all SFS parents. This is accomplished through monthly meetings and forums at both the Goshen and Downtown campuses, parent gatherings, and fundraisers. Every SFS parent is a member of the St. Francis School PA.

Goshen Campus PA (Preschool – 8th Grade)

Shari Broecker, PA President, Goshen Campus

I am excited and honored to be your PA President on the Goshen Campus this year!  I will be working with a fabulous group of PA Room Representatives this year.

A little about me, my husband T.K. and I have 2 kids at St Francis. Mary Elizabeth is in the 4th grade and Olivia Kate is in Kindergarten. We have been here since ME was in JK and we love St. Francis!

The mission of the PA is to be the collective voice of the parent body and to support the school. Every parent is automatically a member of the PA…so congratulations 😉  This year we are asking that each family donate $50 for PA Dues. Five years ago, we implemented dues in lieu of selling gift wrap, magazines, cookie dough, etc. and it’s had a positive response.

We use the Dues $ to provide grants to the teachers at the end of the school year. We also donate all the profits from PA Community events such as Champs skating party, Parent-Daughter Dance, Parent-Son Bonfire (a new activity this year), the Bookstore Cart (open every Thursday morning, you can load a shopping card for your kids if you don’t want to send cash) and we also receive a percentage of $ from Kroger cards.

Last year we were able to raise $20,000 and we were able to purchase for the High School: Risers & Signage for the Performing Arts Space,

Four (4) athletic records boards for field hockey, basketball, track, and soccer, Goshen: Ten (10) music stands,Roland Keyboard, Two (2) Grammy-winning jazz musicians visit, Preschool: Giant slide for the natural playground.

Downtown Campus PA (High School)

Leslye Arnett, PA President, Downtown Campus

As the parent of a senior, I am thrilled to be the PA President for the Downtown Campus this year. At St. Francis, every parent is a member of the Parent Association. Our primary goal is to support the mission of the school by 1) providing volunteers for various activities, 2) facilitating communication between school and families, and 3) raising funds to help provide “out of budget” school needs.

We won’t ask you to sell cookie dough, wrapping paper or potted plants to raise funds. We will ask that you participate in “painless fundraising” by designating St. Francis School as the beneficiary with your Kroger card or ValuMarket card. We will also ask you to pay annual dues to the PA, which is much easier than selling wrapping paper! The suggested dues amount is $50 per family, which covers any children on both campuses.

There are many ways to get involved with the St. Francis PA and we would love to have you join us! If you have any questions or ideas please feel free to contact me at

PA Annual Dues

Amount ($50 suggested)

Name of Student/s

The Parent Association (PA) supports the school through activities, events, and fundraising. Every member of the parent body is a member of the PA. The PA requests that each family pay annual dues of $50/family to support the PA’s activities.

There are many ways you can help support our school. We can always use volunteers, but there are also ways you can easily help us raise money so we can give grants at the end of the school year. From registering your Kroger card to shopping at Amazon to paying your dues, every dollar goes back to the school we love.
